Structural Designer/Technologist

WADE is looking for a Structural Designer/Technologist to join our growing team in Edmonton. Key Responsibilities
Performs production drafting and design in the CAD or Revit environment
Prepare and assist with plans, drawings, contracts, and technical specifications
Perform and assist with project document reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, etc.)
Maintains CAD/BIM document archives for projects
Prepares drawing packages for submission to clients
QA/QC of own work
Coordinates and assists the senior designers/technologists with the CAD/REVIT portion of project deliverables
Assists the design engineer in field activities such as site inspections, condition assessments etc.
Performs site duties as and when needed.
Assist in investigating and developing practical technical solutions to design and on-site issues
Educations and Skills:
Diploma in Engineering Design Drafting Technology (EDDT) or recognized equivalent, or a combination of training and experience within a Civil/Structural design role
Minimum 2 years of drafting/Design experience is preferred
Understanding of design and drafting practices for structural components
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Experience with Revit, Microsoft Office and visualization tools can be an asset
Experience in drafting wood frame structure, reinforced concrete, masonry and steel structure is required.
Experience in Building Envelope Rehabilitation projects is an asset.
